Peace, security, and economic development remain key priorities of the administration of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Dr. Uba Sani.
The meeting was presided over by the Secretary to the Kaduna State Government (SSG) and Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Abdulkadir Mu’azu Mayere.
Discussions focused on practical strategies to tackle banditry, kidnapping, and other forms of community violence, as well as mechanisms for the recovery and retrieval of small arms and light weapons.
The Commissioner for Information and Culture, Mal. Ahmed Maiyaki, contributed to the deliberations by highlighting possible approaches for achieving the objectives of the initiative.
In attendance were the Commissioner for Youths, Barr. Gloria Ibrahim; the Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs, Mr. Unana Barde Markus; and Permanent Secretaries and senior representatives from relevant ministries and government agencies, among others.
The meeting reaffirmed the Kaduna State Government’s commitment to strengthening peace and security, addressing community violence, recovering illicit arms, and creating an enabling environment for sustainable economic development.
