The Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kaduna State University (KASU), in collaboration with the Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN), has successfully graduated and inducted 14 students into the pharmacy profession after taking the oath of professional practice.
Speaking during the induction ceremony, Surv. Iliyasu A. Saeed mnis. (Sarkin Fadan Kajuru Emirate), who spoke on behalf of the parents of the 14 graduating students, expressed profound appreciation to the Kaduna State Government for its unwavering support toward the growth and development of the institution.
He noted that the government’s commitment in providing the necessary facilities and enabling environment has positioned Kaduna State University to compete favorably with several universities across the world.
He also commended the management of the university, the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, parents, and the lecturers for their dedication, sacrifices, and commitment toward nurturing the students academically and morally throughout their years of study.
Addressing the newly inducted pharmacists, he urged them to uphold the ethics of the profession, remain law-abiding citizens, and serve humanity with integrity, compassion, and professionalism. He further wished them success and fulfillment in their future careers.
Among the 14 inducted pharmacists was Pharm. Abdulmumini Iliyasu Kajuru, a former Secretary-General of the Pharmaceutical Association of Nigerian Students (PANS), KASU Chapter, who was honored with an Award of Appreciation in recognition of his immense contributions and outstanding service to the Association during his tenure.
In his remarks, Pharm. Abdulmumini Iliyasu Kajuru expressed heartfelt gratitude to his lecturers, colleagues, friends, and family members for their support, encouragement, and presence at the occasion, describing the event as one of the most significant milestones of his life.
