Zamfara State Government has approved recruitment of 3,050 teachers to improve education delivery in the state.

This was announced by Prof. Nasir Anka Garba, the Executive Chairman of the Zamfara State Universal Basic Education Board (ZSUBEB), in a press statement issued in Gusau.

He said the approval was part of efforts by the present administration to revitalise the education sector and address the shortage of qualified teachers in public primary and junior secondary schools across the state.

Prof Anja the recruitment is aimed at improving the teacher-pupil ratio, enhancing the quality of teaching and learning outcomes, expanding access to basic education especially in underserved communities, and strengthening the overall capacity of the basic education sub-sector.

He commended the governor for what he described as a bold and timely intervention.

“This reflects Governor Lawal’s administration’s dedication to human capital development and sustainable educational reform,” he said.

He assured the public that the recruitment process would be transparent and merit-based, in line with extant rules and guidelines.

“Details regarding the application procedures, eligibility criteria and timelines will be communicated in due course through official channels,” he added.

The board urged qualified and interested candidates to prepare to take advantage of the opportunity to contribute to the development of education in the state.
