The Katsina State Government are set to provide surgical and medical assistance to patients suffering from some major diseases from 1st to 16th December, 2025.
The visiting Medical Experts will conduct Surgeries to patients suffering from Hernia, Gynecological Surgeries, Abdominal Surgeries and dental surgeries. It will also conduct consultations for patients with various surgical & medical conditions across the State.
The surgeries and consultations will be free of charge to indigents and the needy patients.
About 200 patients are expected to benefit with the surgeries to be conducted upon screening of the patients at Turai Yar’adua Maternal and Child Hospital Katsina.
In a related development, Katsina State Government has signed a 5-year Memorandum of Understanding with the REVIVE Belgium Medical Mission for the support on the patients suffering from Cervical and Breast Cancer.
As contained in the Memorandum of Understanding, the team will assist in the training or Katsina State Healthcare personnel as well as support awareness campaign on prevention and early detection of cancer diseases.
More so, the Belgium Medical team will also support screening, diagnosis and treatment of cervical and breast cancers in the State.
To ensure successful mission, the State Government had provided additional theatre and dental equipment & instrument at both Turai ‘Yar’adua Maternal & Child Hospital and the General Hospital Katsina. The efforts of the current administration of Mal Dikko Umar Radda in the health sector attracted the Belgium Medical Team Team to work in Katsina State as the first in the seven North west States of Nigeria.
On this cancer treatment, all the activities of the visiting medical team will begin from next year and it will be in collaboration with PLEDGING AID CHARITY FOUNDATION (PAC-F)
Katsina State Government had since formed a Stakeholder’s Engagement Committee that will be working closely with the Medical Professionals throughout their stay in the state.
