About 1,500 women have been empowered with N15 million by the Gwagware Foundation in Musawa and Matazu Local Government Areas of Katsina State.
The empowerment event also included the disbursement of scholarships to 2,199 students, by Hon. Abdullahi Aliyu Ahmad, Dujiman Katsina, Member representing Musawa/Matazu Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives
Alh Yusuf Ali Musawa, Chairman, Gwagware Foundation explained that the empowerment program is aimed at helping women in rural communities to improve and grow their small businesses. He noted that beneficiaries were drawn from each polling unit in the two LGAs to ensure broad representation.

Alh Yusuf Ali further highlighted that the initiative is part of the Foundation’s ongoing efforts, inspired and mentored by its Grand Patron, His Excellency Governor Mal Dikko Umar Radda. The Foundation also plans to empower 10,000 women before the 2027 general elections, he said.
In addition to the empowerment program, Alh Yusuf Ali announced that the Gwagware Foundation will also organize a grand endorsement rally in support of Governor Dikko Umar Radda’s continuity 2027.

Notable speakers at the event include His Excellency, Former Deputy Governor Tukur Ahmad Jikamshi, Chairman, Musawa Local Government Alhaji Aliyu Idris Gingin, Prof. Kabir Matazu, Executive Secretary, Science and Technical Education Board, and Sarkin Musawan Katsina, Alhaji Sagir Abdullahi Inde. They commended Gwagware Foundation’s dedication to empowering women, fostering economic growth, and improving the livelihoods of rural communities.
