Katsina State Rural Elctrification Board has unveiled its newly developed Organic Fertilizer, a groundbreaking 3-in-1 solution that serves as fertilizer, weedicide, and pesticide in both liquid and solid forms.
The Board urged the government to support the distribution of this state-owned product across all 34 local government areas, stressing that organic fertilizer provides farmers with a safer and more effective alternative to chemical options.
This was tevealled by Abubakar Matawale Matazu, General Manager of the Katsina State Rural Electricity Board, while commending Governor Dikko Umaru Radda and key stakeholders for their visionary leadership in successfully launching innovative clean energy projects.
Matawale described the milestone as a bold step towards building a sustainable and eco-friendly future for Katsina.
He noted that the projects will not only expand energy access but also stimulate economic growth and strengthen resilience against climate change.
Matawale highlighted that the innovation will boost yields, improve food security, and promote environmentally friendly farming practices.
He further emphasized that this dual achievement of clean energy expansion and sustainable agriculture innovation reflects Governor Radda commitment to driving progress and prosperity across the state.
Matawale concluded by describing the projects as a model for other regions, a symbol of hope, and a beacon of sustainable development for a cleaner, greener, and more prosperous Katsina.
