Governor Uba Sani has rolled out the construction and reconstruction of ten major roads across urban centres and rural communities to bridge infrastructure gaps across Kaduna State,

The projects were approved by the Kaduna State Executive Council during a meeting chaired by Governor Uba Sani.

Among the approved projects is the construction of an asphaltic road from Durum to Kuruntumawa in Makarfi LGA, a long-awaited link to boost agricultural access. In Chikun LGA, the government is reconstructing the Romi–Karatudu township roads and completing the abandoned dual carriageway from PAN Drive through Television Garage to Sabon Tasha.

In Igabi, the Governor is pushing forward the reconstruction and upgrading of Rigasa township roads, while Lere LGA will benefit from the construction of the Kayarda Tasha–Kayarda Gari–U/Sarki–Maskawa–Dan Alhaji road, enhancing intra-rural mobility.

Also approved is the construction of a vital stretch linking Bassawa Junction through Unguwan Rimi to Hunkiyi Junction, connecting Sabon Gari and Kudan LGAs. The rundown Zango Road to Asibitin Yara and Musawa Road corridor will equally be rebuilt to modern standards.

To protect the rights of residents affected by the construction works, the Uba Sani administration has set aside a whopping N3.5 billion for compensation and relocation of services, ensuring that property owners along all affected corridors are adequately compensated.

With this bold infrastructure offensive, Governor Uba Sani is reaffirming his administration’s resolve to deliver people-first development — one kilometre at a time
