The Katsina State Department of Local Government Inspectorate has charged its Zonal and Resident Inspectors to justify the confidence expected of them in the course of their duties.
The charge was made by the Special Adviser of the Department Hon. Lawal Rufa’i Safana on Tuesday at a meeting with Zonal and LG Resident Inspectors conducted at the Conference Hall of the Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Katsina.
Hon. Lawal Safana enjoined them to always be objective, accurate and avoid victimisation and compromise while compiling reports on any official assignment.

The Special Adviser pointed out that exhibition of accuracy and objectivity to official duty entail their personality
He however directed them to immediately compile comprehensive report for submission to the Inspectorate on PHCs and AMCs projects awarded and another report on the status and payment system of projects awarded across the 34 LGAs of the state.
Hon. Safana noticed that some projects were completed and some were uncompleted, while some were paid but uncompleted and some uncompleted but not paid, thereby asking them to ensure compiling reports on such projects including the names of all contractors handling projects in all the 34 LGAs.
The Special Adviser similarly directed them to verify and supported their reports with photo images on the recently disbursed N200M to LGAs for another project.
Questions and answers on insecurity, capacity building among others were observed during the meeting.
