Kebbi Governors Aide Empowers 65 Persons in Danko Wasagu

In line with the tradition of extending assistance to citizens as championed by the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Dr. Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu), the Adviser to the Governor on Civil Service Matters and Director General of the Argungu International Fishing Festival, Hon. Safiyanu Garba Bena, has empowered over 65 persons across the 11 wards of Danko Wasagu Local Government Area in Zuru Emirate.

The empowerment programme took place on Sunday, July 6, 2025, in Danko Wasagu. The event was graced by the Chairman of Danko Wasagu LGA, Hon. Husaini Aliyu, alongside his Vice, Councillors, community leaders, religious figures, and other political stakeholders.

Each of the 65 beneficiaries, including women and youths drawn from all 11 wards of the LGA received the sum of ₦20,000,

 This marks the third consecutive time Hon. Bena has carried out such empowerment efforts.

Speaking during the event, Hon. Bena said the gesture was in line with Governor Nasir Idris’ commitment to uplifting the lives of people, especially in communities that have remained loyal, prayerful, and supportive of his administration.

He assured the beneficiaries that he would continue his philanthropic efforts and urged them to remain steadfast in their support for Governor Idris and the All Progressives Congress (APC), especially in the lead-up to the 2027 elections.

Some of the beneficiaries, including Hajiya Binta Bena and Bawa Sule, expressed heartfelt gratitude to Hon. Bena and the Governor for their continued support and developmental strides in the area and the state at large. They also pledged their full support for the continuation of Kauran Gwandu’s leadership beyond 2027.
