Immortalize Aminu Dantata, Atiku urges FG

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, Wazirin Adamawa and former Vice President of Nigeria has called on the Federal Government of Nigeria to immortalize Alhaji Aminu Alhassan Dantats, an international business mogul and philanthropist who died Saturday, June 28, 2025.

 Alhaji Aminu died at the age of 9 94 in Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirate..

In a statement issued on Saturday by his media team, Atiku said one of Nigeria’s public institutions should be named after the late businessman.

According to Atiku, Dantata needs to be recognised for his immeasurable services to humanity and Nigeria’s economy.

“Aminu Dantata was a successful businessman for decades who had inspired a generation of other younger people to venture into business investment and prosperity. It is impossible to talk about business issues in Nigeria without a reference to the Dantata family,” Atiku said.

Atiku further described the late businessman as a risk-taker who transformed his family business from traditional buying and selling into modern civil engineering and construction services.

He also said the late Dantata contributed immensely to job creation in the country.

“To be enormously rich without ostentation is a rare quality that made Aminu Dantata a shining public figure who was a fountain of inspiration for many people,” he stated
