KATSINA: Contractors of AMCs get a week ultimatum to finish job

Contractors handling the Agric Mechanisation Centers in the 34 Local Government Areas in KATSINA State were issued one week ultimatum to finish their jobs

The ultimatum was given by the Special Adviser, Local Government Inspectorate Hon. Lawal Rufa’i Safana in a statement and made available to newsmen, pointing out that failure to comply will be subjected to any consequences that may follow.

The Special Adviser similarly directed that from  now on, no contract in the local government service should be given any additional payment after mobilisation until the project is fully completed and duly certified.

Hon. Lawal Safana however warned Contractors handling any local government project including AMCs to ensure quality work and must comply with the Bill of Quantity of such contracts.

According to the Special Adviser, any Contractor that failed to comply might lead to blacklisting.

Hon. Safana finally commended the State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda PhD for his unwavering support to the Inspectorate Department in the discharge of its functions for the betterment of service delivery at the local government level in the state.
