Kebbi mourns 4 children involve in auto crash

The Kebbi State Governor, Comrade Dr Nasir Idris has condoled with the families of four children, who lost their lives following a motor accident along Birnin Kebbi-Jega road.

Controlling the families at Sarki Kabin Jega palace on Saturday, the Governor expressed sympathy over the tragedy, describing the incident as an act of God that nobody has the right to question.

The people’s governor, who initially sent his deputy for the condolence with N10 million donation to the families, also donated additional N10 million to the deceased families.

The governor prayed to Almighty Allah to forgive their shortcomings and grant them Jannatul Firdaus.

Gov. Idris also commended the Tafidan Jega, who is also the former EFCC Chairman, Abdulrasheed Bawa Jega for the renovation of Sarkin Jega palace, describing it as a commendable effort.

In his remarks on behalf of the families of the deceased, the Sarkin Kabi, Alhaji Muhammad Arizka Bawa thanked the governor for his commitment towards promoting peace in Jega and the state at large.

“You have done a lot for us in Jega and we are going to reciprocate by supporting your administration to succeed and at the same time we are going to stand by you to actualise your second term dream,” he assured.

In a similar vein, the governor had equally paid a condolence visit to the family of late Faruku Hajala, where he also donated N10m to the family.

The governor, who described Hajala as a friend and brother, prayed for him, saying: “Hajala, may your soul rest in peace and Jannatul Firdaus be your final home.”

Idris pledged to sustain the payment of the deceased children school fees, especially those studying outside Nigeria.

Those in the Governor entourage are the Head of service Abubakar Shekare Mallamai, Rector Waziri Umaru Federal Polytechnic Birnin-Kebbi Dr Usman Tunga, Member Federal House of Representatives, Hon Bello Kaoje, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affair Alhaji Garba Umar Dutsinmari, SA civil service Alhaji Sufiyanu Garba-Bena, Commissioner for Religious Affairs Arc Sani, Commissioner for youth and sport A I Suru, and others.
