The outgoing National President of the Forum of Heads Local Government Administration in Nigeria, FOHOLGAN has described Malam Abdulrahman Marafa as a visionary leader whose contributions to the local government administration will be remembered.
This was made known at a ceremony organised by the Katsina State chapter of FOHOLGAN to bid Marafa farewell.
The ceremony was conducted on Sunday at the Medical and Health Workers Union Hall, Katsina.coincided with the completion of his tenure in public service to appreciate and recognise his outstanding leadership, as well as his contributions to the upliftment of the Forum.
Those who spoke at the event described Marafa as a leader with visions whose commitment and good governance impacted positively not only on the Forum, but on the local government administration at large.
The event similarly witnessed the honouring of notable civil servants and retired Permanent Secretaries for their outstanding contributions to the service.
The event also recognised the contributions of the State Governor Malam Dikko Umaru Radda and the Deputy Governor Malam Farouk Lawal Jobe for their good governance.
Notable people that attended the ceremony include Commissioner Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs represented by his Permanent Secretary, State Chairman Local Government Service Commission, National President of ALGON represented by the Chairman Charanchi LGA and Heads of Local Government Administration from the 34 LGAs of the state.
