The All-Progressive Congress, APC Katsina State Chapter is battle – ready for the local government council polls scheduled for 15th Feb. 2025
In what looks like a final onslaught on the opposition parties in the state, the party ceremoniously received decampees from the main opposition party, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP during which it’s former chairman in the state, Alhaji Rabi’u Gambo Bakori was formally received by Governor Dikko Radda at the Katsina Government House.
Also received at the occasion, were the Vice presidential aspirant at the Accord Party Alhaji Isa Hamisu Dandume and the former Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly Hon. Yakubu Idris Danchafa and several others.

On Thursday the Party addressed thousands of Party members from the 361 Political Wards of the state at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Wing of the Katsinn Government House where the state Governor Dr. Dikko Umaru Radda charged them to ensure the APC wins the Councils polls through free and fair election.
The Governor reiterated that the local election is the foundation of true democracy and therefore should be accorded utmost priority that can only be generated through maintaining good rapour between the party leaders and the voters.
Also on Saturday, the Party held Stakeholders meeting during which several key political players from all over the state converged. Those in attendance and made speeches include the former President of Nigeria Muhammadu Buhari, Governor Dikko Umaru Radda, the immediate past governor Rt Hon. Aminu Bello Masari, for Governor Barrister Ibrahim Shehu Shema, the special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Political Matters Hon Ibrahim Kabir Masari, serving and former ministers such as Sen Hadi Sirika, Arc Musa Dangiwa, Hannatu Musawa, several members of the National and State House of Assemblies, political appointees at the federal and state levels, party stalwarts, women and youth leaders etc.
The central message from all the speeches delivered was to ensure APC supremacy through offering quality leadership and good relationship with the electorates.

On Sunday, the APC flagged off the February 15Th local councils campaign at Ingawa in Daura Senatorial District where the National Chairman of the APC Dr. Umar Ganduje formally received decampees and assured them of equal opportunities and privileges. He said the decampees were attracted by the good policies and progress of the APC and decided to join the progressives in moving Nigeria forward.
In his address at the occasion, Governor Dikko Radda pledged his administration’s unwavering commitment to conducting free and fair election that genuinely reflects the people will.
Governor Radda also encouraged the electorates to support the APC candidates in the upcoming election and the 2027 general elections. He vowed that the APC government will continue to deliver its mandate to build the prosperous feature.
Going by the above activities, it would not be wrong to suggest that the All Progressives Congress is battle ready for the February 15Th local government councils election in Katsina state.

He claimed that political power rest with the electorates and good rapour makes democracy more effective and winning elections become easier.
Dikko urged all party members to contribute and work hard to ensure APC wins incoming local government election slated for February 2025.

In his remarks, the Former President, Muhammadu Buhari cleared the air on issues related to governance saying that, governance is more attractive from outside than when you are in.
He added that, leaders should hold the trust no matter the situation they find themselves to ensure peace and stability.
