Tke Katsina State Police Command has announced the arrest 916 suspects, neutralized 40 bandi. This was revealled in the end-of-year briefing by Katsina State Commissioner of Police, Aliyu Mus while , highlighted the command’s significant achievements in combating crime over the past year,
The command also rescued 319 kidnapped victims, reflecting a robust commitment to enhancing security in the state.
Commissioner Musa detailed the command’s efforts, noting the dismantling of several notorious criminal networks and the recovery of substantial amounts of exhibits.
He emphasized the dedication and bravery of the officers and men who have worked tirelessly to ensure community safety.
Additionally, 199 suspected armed robbers were arrested, 23 major drug dealers were charged to court, and 32 suspected vandals were apprehended.
The command also arrested 89 suspected motor vehicle thieves and recovered over 27 motor vehicles and motorcycles.
Furthermore, 573 suspects were apprehended for various offenses, including criminal force, intimidation, and breach of trust.
Commissioner Musa also highlighted infrastructural upgrades within the command, such as improvements to the police clinic, divisional headquarters, and the command’s entrance gate, enhancing operational efficiency.
He acknowledged the collaboration with sister security agencies and the importance of synergy in achieving these successes.
Governor Dikko Radda, represented by the state Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Nasir Mu’azu, acknowledged the state’s challenges with insecurity and commended the command’s efforts in addressing these issues
