The Kebbi State Commissioner for Health, Comrade Yunusa Isma’il Yauri disclosed that Kebbi State government will embark on massive campaign against the scourge of Hiv/Aids in the state.
He made the statement at a press conference held at the Conference Hall of the State Primary Healthcare Development Agency in Birnin Kebbi in commemorate the 2025 World Aids Day.
Yauri added that Kebbi State under Governor Nasir Idris is committed to supporting the fight against the disease and called on people to avoid stigmatising the victims in order to be secured from the disease.
The event has observed a walkaway campaign against the HIV/Aids from Gwandu Emirate council Palace to Birnin Kebbi Central Market by the officials of the Ministry of Health and Primary Healthcare Agency.
