The Kaduna State Police Command has warned the general public to prioritize their safety and adopt precautionary measures to enhance security, particularly during nighttime.
The warning was given by the Commissioner of Police, Kaduna State Command, CP Ibrahim Abdullahi, psc, mni in a statement signed by ASP MANSIR HASSAN anipr, the Police Public Relations Officer
He advised residents to verify the identity of visitors, especially at night, before granting them access to their homes. He emphasized that in the case of police officers or other security personnel, individuals should request official identification to ensure their authenticity before responding.
The Commissioner also called on citizens to strengthen community security efforts by engaging their local vigilante groups. Highlighting the shared responsibility of safety, the CP said, *“Security is everybody’s business, not only the police.”* He further encouraged residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities or individuals, reinforcing the importance of the principle *“When you See something, say something.”*
