Medical services resumed at the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital following the intervention of Kano State  Governor Yusu at a meeting with Nigerian Medical Association (NMA) Kano Chapter

The NMA chairman, Dr. Abdurrahman explained that the decision to suspend the strike was reached after a productive meeting with Governor Yusuf, which resolved tensions stemming from a recent misunderstanding between a hospital doctor and a state commissioner.

A statement from the Governor’s spokesperson, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, said the Chairman of the NMA has confirmed that services had resumed.

Expressing his gratitude for the governor’s prompt response, Dr. Abdurrahman commended  Gov Yusuf’s decisive action, which prevented further disruptions to critical healthcare services. He urged Kano residents to channel any complaints through appropriate authorities, assuring them that any disputes involving patients and healthcare providers would be fairly investigated and addressed.
