Kebbi State government has closed Makera-Kangiwa-Niger road following the Collabse of the bridge on the road.
State Commissioner of Works, Abdullahi Umar Muslim announced this during an interview with Journalists in his residence in Birnin Kebbi metropolis.
He disclosed that the closure time is between 6pm to 6am everyday until government repair the bridge when the water diminished.
Muslim called on motorists and other commuters on the busy road to desist from using the road until it was repaired by the government.
The Commissioner however commended the efforts of Governor, Nasir Idris Kauran Gwandu for his quick response and intervention , revealing that about 23 roads were affected by flood in this year’s raining season and described that Kebbi State was worse hitting by the flood.
