The Kebbi State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on the KEBBI State Independent Electoral Commission ( KESIEC), Security agencies and other stakeholders to  ensure that the forthcoming local government councils election scheduled to hold on August 31 is conducted free and fair.

It also warned that any statement from certain quarters or from a highly placed- person to preempt the outcome of the election will not be accepted.

State Secretary of PDP,  Abubakar Bawa Kalgo a.k.a  (ABK) who gave the warning in a statement he signed and made available to newsmen yesterday in Birnin Kebbi said, the warning came on the reels of the press release  recently issued which was credited to the Deputy Governor of Kebbi State dated June, 16th which the Deputy Governor was quoted as saying *”We are fully mobilized to maintain our status of Kebbi State as APC absolute majority entity, we will secure victory for all the Chairmanship seats and Councillorship in the forthcoming Local Government Elections in the State scheduled for August this Year”

According to Kalgo, the statement is not only misleading but, an attempt to preempt the outcome of the forthcoming local governments election in the state.

The PDP Scribe therefore called on the State Independent Electoral Commission, Security Agencies, and Political Parties to be vigilant during the conduct of the election.

Hon Kalgo also urged teeming supporters of PDP to remain calm and focused preparatory to the upcoming August LGA elections in the State as powers to determine any outcome lie solely on the Almighty Allah SWT, not any human.
