Katsina recruits 60 footballers

The Government of Katsina State has unveiled 60 players recruited in Katsina State football academy.

The Chief of Staff Government house Alh Jabiru Abdullahi Tsauri unveiled the players at the premises of Muhammadu Dikko Stadium on behalf of the state governor.

The 60 players unveiled comprises three categories to include U-20 , U-18 and under 16 respectively

Each of the player were provided with training kit’s to include two sets of boots, bibs and training jerseys.

Similarly the representative of the governor in company of the state sports director Aliyu Lawal Zakari use the occasion to also commission the academy’s secretariat, game room, classrooms and hostels accomodations.

Speaking during the event Governor Dikko Umar Radda congratulated the players recruited under the academy and charged them to be good abiding citizen by remaining dedicated in order to achieve the set objectives.

Mal Dikko Umar Radda restated his administration commitment in continue initiating more empowerment programs with the aim of supporting the lives of the teeming youths in the state.

In his remarks the state sports commissioner Aliyu Lawal Zakari acknowledged the foresight of governor Dikko Radda for establishing state football academy in the saying this will give opportunity for the youths in the state to Excel in sporting sector especially football.
