A border patrol team of Nigeria Customs Service, Nigeria Immigration Service, Department of State Service and Nigerian Army led by Chief Superintendent of Customs , AA Ibrahim in Kebbi State has intercepted forty cartons and sacks totalling 6,240 pieces of cap suspected to be sensitive dynamite explosives.
.Briefing newsmen yesterday over the development in his office in Birnin Kebbi, capital of Kebbi State, Customs area Comptroller in the state, Iheanacho Ernest Ojike said after an examination was conducted by the joint personnel the suspected items were found out to contain 40 cartons and sacks totalling 6,240 pieces of cap sensitive dynamite explosive (Super Power 90) which were loaded on white Canter/ truck with registration number Zur 882ZY together with a Haejue motorcycle number JEG-562 UQ .
According to the Comptroller, two suspects were arrested and detained by Customs Command in Birnin Kebbi and the seized items were handed over to the officials of department of state service .
