Governor Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina State has been appreciated for his commitment to better the lives of the common people in Education, Health, Agriculture and Water supply as well as in the others sectors of human endeavours.
Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs Professor Badamasi Lawal announced this, Tuesday when he led a powerful Team from the Ministry to inspect Phase 2 projects undertaken by the Chairman of Mani LGA.

It would be recall that the Governor released N1.8 Billion to local councils councils to execute Phase 1 Projects subject to consultations with local communities, after which he recently released another N2.4 Billion to undertake Phase 2 projects.
The projects according to the Commissioner include rehabilitation and renovation of schools as well as clinics and dispensaries, construction of mosques and roads, provision of portable water and electricity among others.
Professor Badamasi Lawal was overwhelmed with how two blocks of two classrooms each and three classrooms block were rehabilitated and provided with furniture at Ajiya Primary School Mahuta. This gingered the Commissioner to personally pledged for the provision of uniforms to some of the pupils and directed the Education Secretary of the area to ensure the commencement of school activities next Monday.

The commissioner and his team however inspected a 350m long Drainage with 7 culverts at both right and left sides on Katsina-Mani road in Gawon Mala Village.

An ongoing construction of a Juma’at Mosque was also inspected at Hakon Hawa Village, while an ongoing Constituency Project of 3.2Km rural feeder road construction from Mani-Dutsi road Junction to Bujawa Village was also inspected.
In a remark, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry Alhaji Salisu Musa Batsari commended the chairman for a good job ans urged the benefitting communities to ensure proper utilization of the projects.

The chairman of the local council Dr. Yunusa Bagiwa expressed appreciation and applauded the state government and Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs for showing much concern on the plight of the common man.
