The Katsina State Commissioner of Basic and Secondary Education, Hajiya Hadiza Yar’adua has met with the Education Secretaries in the State
Declaring a one day Implementation Strategy Meeting of Transforming Education System at State Level held at Shalele Hotels in Katsina the commissioner explained that provisions of qualitative and sound Education was the priority of the present administration of Katsina State Government, hence the need to redouble our efforts to achieve the desired objectives
She further stated that since the intervention was a programme for result, there was the need for all stakeholders to work according to the guidelines to enable the State earned more rewards.
Hajiya Hadiza called on the Education Secretaries to continue to cooperate and support the government to achieve the desired objectives
Earlier the Executive Chairman Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board, Alhaji Kabir Magaji explained that out of the 17 focus BESDA States in the federation only 3 States enjoy this intervention namely Adamawa, Katsina and Oyo and this is due to their good performances in BESDA Programme
Alhaji Kabir Magaji stressed the need for all to ensure that success was achieved in this direction
In a welcome address, the Project Coordinator of Tess in Katsina State ,Dr Nasiru Danzaria has spoken on the programme objectives which include provision of equal access to education amongst children, improved literacy and System Strengthening
In his vote of thanks the Chairman National Association of Education Secretaries Katsina State Branch, Alhaji Zaharaddini Umar has assured the support and commitment of the Education Secretaries to achieve the desired objectives
