Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State is hosting the 19 Northern states governor in a maiden meeting of the forum since the present crop of governors came into office on May 29th, 2023.
The meeting which is holding at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim Government House in the Kaduna state capital, is chaired by the governor of Gombe State, Inuwa Yahaya.
The focus of the meeting is centered on security and other challenges facing the region to prefer solutions.
They are expected to use the occasion to commiserate with the Kaduna State government over the unfortunate military airstrike at Tudun Biri community in Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Security has remained the major challenge in Northern Nigeria for over a decade and claimed thousands of lives and destruction of properties worth billions of naira and displaced million, leaving yhe entire region in trauma.
The Federal and the governments of the state have different stels in dealing with the menace but no remarkable success was recorded.
