An estimated revenue of ₦20 billion monthly has begen targets by the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service (KADIRS) as ongoing fiscal reforms continue to boost collections and strengthen taxpayer confidence in the state.
This was disclosed by the Executive Chairman of KADIRS, Comrade Jerry Adams while receiving a delegation from the Association of Non-Indigenes Support Group for Governor Uba Sani on a courtesy visit and conferred on him the title of Grand Patron.
Adams said the state’s monthly IGR has grown significantly from an average of ₦4 billion in 2023 to about ₦9 billion at present, attributing the increase to reforms in tax administration, expansion of the tax base, and improved public trust in government.

Adams noted that residents are increasingly willing to meet their tax obligations due to visible government investments in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and social welfare programmes across Kaduna State.
He Said the administration of Governor Uba Sani remains committed to ensuring that revenue generated is channelled into projects that directly improve citizens’ welfare, adding that KADIRS would continue to implement taxpayer-friendly policies aimed at encouraging voluntary compliance while eliminating multiple taxation and reducing burdens on businesses and individuals.
“Revenue generation should not be seen as a burden on citizens but as a shared responsibility that enables government to provide critical services and drive sustainable development,” he said.
He expressed appreciation for the honour bestowed on him by the association, describing it as recognition of the contributions of non-indigenes to the socio-economic development of Kaduna State.
The KADIRS boss reaffirmed the government’s commitment to inclusive governance, stressing that all residents, regardless of ethnic or religious background, have a role to play in the state’s development.
Earlier, the Co-Convener of the Association of Non-Indigenes Support Group for Governor Uba Sani, Mr. Johnny Nwankwere, presented Adams with a letter of confirmation and the association’s flag, formally announcing his appointment as Grand Patron.
