Parents, guardians, and community leaders have been called upon to remain vigilant and closely monitor the activities of their children during the holiday season.

The Executive Chairman of Katsina State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Dr. Kabir Magaji Gafiya, made the appeal in his message as the first-term academic session comes to an end across the state.

Dr. Gafiya emphasized that the holiday period is not only a time for rest but also an opportunity for pupils and students to revise their studies outside the school environment. He therefore urged parents, guardians, and community members to pay close attention to how children spend their time throughout the break.

The SUBEB Chairman commended teachers and other basic education stakeholders for their unwavering commitment to nurturing learners with quality education and sound moral values. He encouraged them to sustain their dedication toward strengthening the basic education sector in the state.

While addressing education secretaries and community representatives, Dr. Gafiya called for collective responsibility in safeguarding all government-funded infrastructural projects under SUBEB. He noted that more projects are in the pipeline, as the State Governor, Malam Dikko Umar Radda, PhD, CON, continues to give top priority to the development of the basic education sector.

He concluded by extending his best wishes to teachers, pupils, and all stakeholders for a peaceful and enjoyable holiday, as well as a blessed yuletide season, praying for their safe return in the next academic session.
