Northers Governor meet, Saturday over escalating insecurity

The escalating insecurity has prompted the governors of 19 Northern State to call a meeting scheduled for Saturday

Peter Ahemba, Senior Special Assistant to the Nasarawa State Governor on Public Affairs, revealed to the media.

He said the meeting will take place in Kaduna and will also be attended by prominent traditional rulers.

“The meeting aims to develop a unified approach to tackling security concerns affecting the region and to discuss the way forward on security matters,” Ahemba explained.

He assured that decisive actions will be taken during the meeting to enhance regional security.

“Given the security challenges in some northern states, the Nasarawa State government has proactively organised this emergency security meeting to make decisive decisions and prevent any breaches of security in the state,” he added.

Ahemba further emphasised the role of citizens in maintaining security, urging them to assist security agencies by providing information on individuals with criminal tendencies
