Former Kano State Governor and elder statesman, Malam Ibrahim Shekarau, has turned 70 and shared heartfelt reflections on his life journey, urging people to embrace forgiveness, patience and gratitude to God as keys to true peace and happiness.
Speaking during a media chat with journalists in Kano, Shekarau said, “I have forgiven everyone who has wronged me, and I seek forgiveness from all those I may have wronged. The teachings of Islam have guided me along the right path, and that is what I am most proud of.”
He thanked Allah for granting him long life and called on Nigerians, especially the youth to avoid conflict and live peacefully with others.
“Do not fight anyone just because you want to achieve your desires — that is not justice in life,” he added.
Shekarau concluded by reminding everyone of the importance of faith, humility and forgiveness in building a better society.
