Kuatsina Ministry of Basic, Secondary Education engages with State Education Trust Fund.

The Hon Commissioner for the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education, Hajiya Zainab Musa Musawa, today hosted a strategic engagement meeting with the leadership of the Katsina State Education Trust Fund at the Ministry’s Conference Hall.

In her welcome remarks, the Commissioner expressed appreciation for the visit and emphasized the critical importance of education in the development of the state. She underscored the need for stronger collaboration between the Ministry and the Education Trust Fund, commending the Fund for its consistent commitment to the advancement of the education sector.

A statement by Bashir Ya’uMedia Assistant to the Executive Governor of Katsina StateMinistry of Basic and Secondary Education dated 25th July, 2025 said,

“We recognize the pivotal role the Education Trust Fund plays in supporting our shared vision for quality education. As a Ministry, we are committed to working closely with the Fund to drive educational reform and improve learning outcomes across the state,” she stated. Hajiya Zainab further reiterated the Ministry’s readiness to sustain the partnership and assured the delegation that the doors of the Ministry remain open for continued collaboration.

In his response, Alhaji Kabir Lawal, speaking on behalf of the Education Trust Fund, affirmed the organization’s intention to strengthen its partnership with the Ministry to enhance educational service delivery. He acknowledged the Honourable Commissioner’s leadership and tireless efforts in transforming the education landscape in Katsina State.

“We are here to formalize our partnership with the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education as we strive to ensure that our children receive the quality education they deserve. Your commitment is evident and commendable,” he said.

Also speaking at the meeting, Professor Kabir Ibrahim Matazu, Executive Secretary of the Katsina State Science and Technical Education Board, highlighted the strategic role of the Education Trust Fund in supporting  the  education sector, describing it as vital to the state’s long-term educational goals.

The engagement was attended by key officials of the Ministry, including the Permanent Secretary, Hajiya Ummulkhairi Ahmed Bawa; Professor Kabir Ibrahim Matazu, Executive Secretary, Katsina State Science and Technical Education Board; Salisu Yakubu, Director of Administration and Supply; and other Directors from the Ministry, including those of Works and Junior Secondary Schools.
