Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the immediate past chairmen of the All Progressives Congress, APC has been appointed to chair the board of the the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN).

.

The development follows the formal inauguration of the reconstituted boards of several aviation agencies, including the newly appointed FAAN board members in Abuja on Wednesday by the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo.

The formal inauguration of the board follows the earlier appointment in January 2025 by President Bola Tinubu.

Recall that Ganduje had, about two weeks ago, stepped down from his role as the APC National Chairman, citing health reasons.

His resignation came amid strong speculations that President Bola Tinubu is working behind the scenes to bring Ganduje’s longtime rival, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, into the APC fold ahead of the 2027 general elections.
