The Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ has honoured Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara, Kanwan Katsina, the Districthead of Ketate with the award of “Media Supporter of the Year”
The ceremony was held at the Shehu Musa Yar’adua Centre, Abuja on Saturday, 21th June 2025,
The award,was presented by the Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, His Excellency Right Honourable Auwal Mohammed Jatau, on behalf of Governor Bala Mohamm of Bauchi State.
It signified his enduring support for press freedom and the media profession in Nigeria and lifelong commitment to public service, professional excellence, and nation-building.
Reacting to the honour the President of Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI), Ambassador Emmanuel Obi Okafor, mni, joyfully conveyed his heartfelt congratulations to His Highness, Alhaji Usman Bello Kankara, mni, Kanwan Katsina III, SEC 35, 2013, and Vice Chairman of Study Group One of his SEC, on the formal presentation of the prestigious award by the NUJ.
