Vice President Kashim Shettima has warned Borno State political figures who show little presence in their home state but seek national representation.
He emphasised the importance of consistent engagement with the people of Borno State, warning that those who detach themselves from local realities should not expect backing from state leadership.
According to him, political aspirants who rarely visit Borno and fail to demonstrate genuine commitment at the grassroots level will not earn the support of the state’s leadership.
“If you want to be here, if you want to represent Borno at the centre, you should show your passion and commitment at the grassroots level.
