The Special Adviser Katsina State Local Government Inspectorate Hon. Lawal Rufa’i Safana has expressed satisfaction with the compliance by Contractors handling Staff Quarters project in Daura and Danja Agricutural Mechanisation Centre.
The expression followed the effective actions made and acceleration of the work as directed by the Special Adviser during his recent inspection visit to the two LGAs.
It would be recalled that three weeks back, the Special Adviser had inspected the construction work of Staff Quarters at Dannakola, Sudduje and Mazoji Health Centres in Daura LGA and expressed dismay on the nature and level of work done and directed the Contractor to ensure speedy completion of the work based on the Bill of Quantity of the contract which the Contractor complied with.
Similarly, a progress has been made on the construction site of AMC at Danja LGA following the directives for the immediate change of the poor excavation earlier done by the Contractor to standard one which also witnessed laudable progress.
Sequel to the quality and speedy progress of the respective projects, the Special Adviser commended the affected Contractors and charged others to copy.
He pointed out that government funds were meant to serve the public in providing viable projects to improve good living standard of the populace but not to be squandered for few to enjoy hence the need for contractors to always be fair and just when awarded contracts.
Hon. Lawal Safana therefore affirmed his Department’s commitment to work with Contractors that were ready to be committed toward enhancing quality and timely services to the good people of the state.
