The Governor Kebbi State has flagged off the distribution of 150 Keke NAPEP, 114 motorcycles, 302 deep freezers alongside other items in Kebbi Central Senatorial Zone.
Other items distributed include; 750 grinding machines, 500 water pumps, 800 sewing machines and 3,400 bags of fertilisers.
This is part of the dividends of democracy brought to the people of Kebbi State by Sen. Adamu Aliero, Senator representing Kebbi Central at the Senate.
Speaking at the commissioning of the items at Aliero, Aliero Local Government Area on Wednesday, the governor thanked the senator for paying back to his people, “what you have done is not a small thing.
“We knew you since when you were governor, you are the kind of person who always care for what will benefit your people.”
Gov. Idris assured that as the governor of the state, he never deprived any lawmaker the opportunity to bring constituency projects to his people, adding that whatever projects brought to Kebbi was for the benefit of Kebbi people.
He urged the beneficiaries not to dispose up the items, instead, they should use it to be come self reliant, saying, “these items are not meant for sale but for economic transformation.”
In his speech, Sen. Adamu Aliero appreciated the governor for executing road projects in Yauri as well as Zuru Emirates.
He advised the governor to continue to take over important federal government’s road projects in the state, assuring that as lawmakers, they would follow up such projects to ensure that the federal government pay back.
Aliero assured that they came into APC to put a halt to opposition for the progress of Kebbi State in particular and Nigeria at large.
Enumerating some projects executed by the senator, Alhaji Atiku Bunu Jega noted with satisfaction that Aliero constructed 25 kilometer road with drainage at Jega, another 25 kilometer of road at Aliero as well as 2 kilometre roads each in many villages among others.
Earlier, Alhaji Umar Halilu Aliero, former member, house of representatives for Jega/Aliero/Gwandu observed that if beneficiaries use the items wisely it would certainly transform their lives.
He said the senator decided to defect to APC purposely to assist the governor so that together they could take Kebbi State to next level of development.
