Katsina: Local Government Inspectorate Embarks On Projects Inspection

The construction of three Staff Quarters for three Primary HealthCare Center, P HCs  awarded for the past one year across the 34 LGAs by the state government have not been completed in 8 LGAs.

Special Adviser Katsina State Department of Local Government Inspectorate Hon. Lawal Rufa’i Safana made the observation Thursday during a meeting with the 34 council chairman in Katsina.

Hon. Lawal Rufa’i noted that the project which was termed as completed was paid or mobilisation was given remained either uncompleted or the site for the construction was not eve visited by the contractor

He, however, resolved to embark on an inspection visit next week to the affected 8 local government areas with a view towards ensuring the completion of the project.

He pointed out that the Radda administration initiated the project to bring succour to health personnel for the improvement of health care delivery to the common man across rural areas of the state

The Special Adviser also stated that the maiden inspection tour to the 8 LGAs will serve as an eye opener for the Chairmen against future projects under his care.

He emphasised the commitment of his Department towards ensuring  quality project awarded and charged local councils Chairmen to ensure quality and timely completion of any project awarded to contractors.

Hon. Lawal Safana therefore enjoined the local councils Chairmen to establish good relationship with the Department for good governance.
