Senator AbdulAziz Musa Yar’adua of Katsina Central has sponsored Three – Day Free Medical Outreach for his constituents.
The Programme in collaboration with Pharmacy Council of Nigeria supported 1500 Diabetic, Hypertensive, Sickle Cells and Malaria patients as well as other health related issues from the 11 LGAs of his Senatorial District.
The exercise was conducted at Comprehensive Health Center Kofar Kaura Katsina, General Hospital Dutsinma and General Hospital Rimi.
The Katsina Center include Batsari Katsina, Kaita and Jibia LGAs. Dutsinma Center include Danmusa, Dutsinma Kurfi and Safana LGAS, while Rimi Centre comprises Batagarawa Charanchi and Rimi LGAS.
During the flagged off ceremony on Wednesday 30/04/25 at Comprehensive Health Center Kofar Kaura, Katsina, the Senator through his Senior Legislative Aide Dr Jamilu Danmusa said the exercise became imperative to support patients with such type of diseases considering the exorbitant price of drugs meant for their medication.
Senator Yar’adua emphasised the need for other elected officials to focus on humanitarian activities of supporting the downtrodden, particularly those that suffer from various ailments that need cautiousness and proper attention.
The Senator who said the exercise will continue to be conducted after two to three months, enjoined the beneficiaries to reciprocate the gesture by remaining prayerful and supportive.
In his speech, the Registrar Pharmacy Council of Nigeria represented by Dr. Ben Obia commended the Senator for collaborating with the Council to conduct the exercise, which according to him indicated the readiness of the Senator in ensuring quality healthcare services.
In a remark, the Chairman Katsina Local Government Council Hon. Isah Miqdad represented by his Vice Hon. Usman Yusuf Yana appreciated the Senator for initiating the exercise which according to him indicated the Senator’s zeal and enthusiasm towards uplifting the lives of his constituents.
In a vote of thanks, the Magajin Garin Katsina Alhaji Aminu Abdulmumini Kabir Usman through Wakilin Kudun Katsina Alhaji Abdu Iliyasu applauded the efforts of the Senator for showing much concern on his constituents and urged other Senators to emulate.
The three – Day Free Medical Outreach was concluded successfully at General Hospital, Rimi on Friday the 2nd May, 2025.
