The Katsina State Government has officially handed over the site to the investors for the construction of a state-of-the-art LNG/L-CNG facility to Greenville LNG Ltd in Katsina ahead of its groundbreaking ceremony.
This development follows Governor Dikko Umaru Radda’s visit to the Greenville LNG facility in Kaduna on October 21, 2023.
A statement by Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, the Chief Press Secretary to Gov Dikko Radda dated April 30, 2025 said the landmark project will provide a cost-effective alternative to conventional fossil fuels, promote environmental sustainability, and stimulate economic growth across Katsina State.
Additionally, it will deliver critical support for gas supply to power existing and potential industries in the state competitively.
The administration promises to remain steadfast in its commitment to fostering green innovation and industrial development for a more prosperous future.
The handover ceremony was attended by the Honourable Commissioner for Lands and Physical Planning, Dr. Umar Faisa Kaita; the Honourable Commissioner for Commerce, Trade and Investment, Alhaji Adnan Nahabu; the Economic Adviser to the State Government, Khalil Nura Khalil and the SSA on Climate Change, Sulaiman Sa’ad Ribadu.
