Senator AbdulAziz Musa Yar’adua of Katsina Central has sponsored a Free-Medical Outreach for his constituents who suffer from eye ailments, hynia and other diseases.
The Programme was being conducted at the premises of Out Patient Department (OPD) General Hospital Katsina in collaboration with Islamic Medical Association of Nigeria (IMAN).
Patients to benefit from the Programme were screened by the respective Coordinators of the 11 local government areas of the Senatorial District.
The Free Medical Outreach which was inaugurated on Saturday 22/3/2025, started with patients from Katsina, Kaita, Jibia and Batsari local government areas.
At the formal launching ceremony of the Programme, the Katsina local government Coordinator to the Senator Alhaji Sani Bambale stated that the first four LGAs were allocated with 100 slots, 80 for Katsina LGA, while the other 3 LGAs were given 40 each.
Alhaji Sani Bambale explained that the initiation of such programmes was just a beginning, as the Senator planned to introduce more viable opportunities that will better the life of his constituents.
On his part, the leader of the Medical Team Dr. Ibrahim Salisu from Katsina State Chapter of the IMAN said the Programme had witnessed successful kick off and the patients remained calm by conducting themselves accordingly.
Dr. Salisu revealed that IMAN was lucky to patner with the Senator for the conduct of the Free Medical Outreach.
He revealed that the Outreach was planned, conducted at the right time and the beneficiaries of the free Programme will enjoy the gesture considering the current economic situation.
Dr. Salisu therefore thank the Senator for initiating the Programme and urged the beneficiaries to pray for the Senator and peaceful coexistence in the state.
An ally to the Senator Alhaji Tanimu Garba Gwarjo expressed appreciation and optimistic that the gesture was informed by the sympathetic nature of the Senator who look so disturbed and wants to support those with one problem or the other.
Alhaji Tanimu Gwarjo emphasised the need for the beneficiaries and other people to intensify prayers for Allahu SWT to shower His mercy on the Senator, people of Katsina Central, the State and the nation and bring peace and stability to the state and the nation at large.
Beside the first four local government areas that enjoyed the Programme, Alhaji Tanimu Gwarjo also said the second batch of the Programme will involve Rimi, Charanchi and Batagarawa local government areas at Rimi for the conduct of the Programme.
Similarly Dutsinma, Karfi, Danmusa and Safana local government area s will meet at Dutsinma for the continuation of the Free Medical Outreach.
On behalf of other beneficiaries, Dr. AbddlRashid Ibrahim Darma Rtd, Asiya Shehu Korau, Aisha Hussaini, Kabir Mohammed and Jamila Ado Kankia thanked the Senator and pledged to give full support for the quality representation he has been rendering.
