The philanthropic gesture of Senator AbdulAziz Musa Yar’adua of Katsina Central Senatorial District can not be quantified as he distributed over 10,000 of assorted bags of rice across the 11 LGAs of the Senatorial District.
The distribution was supervised by a Committee led by Alhaji Tinimu Garba Gwarjo on the 19th of March 2025.
Other members of the Committee are Major Yahaya Rimi Engineer Sirajo Yazid Abukur, Alhaji Abu Bala Saulawa, Alhaji Umaru A K, Alhaji Sani Bambale, Alhaji Shehu Kafinta and Abdullahi Hassan among others.
The mode of distribution revealed that LGAs and Wards. APC Executive members of the 11 LGAs, Delegates, Stakeholders, 11 LGA Council Chairmen were amongst the categories of the beneficiaries.
Others include District Heads, Village Heads, Imams of Izala and Darika sects at local and Wards level, LGA Coordinators to the Senator and Support Groups, while the Senator’s LGA Development Committees were allocated with the commodity for distribution to other constituents.
Speaking on behalf of the Senator, the Chairman of the Central Distribution Committee, Alhaji Tanimu Garba Gwarjo said the Gesture was part of the continued philanthropy of the Senator in an attempt to bring succour to the constituents particularly in the blessed Month of Ramadan.
Tanimu Gwarjo pointed out that the Senator was an easy going who vigorously struggled to make a good representation for the upliftment of the living standard of his constituents.
He said t
he struggle was also to reciprocate the efforts of the state government towards promoting peaceful coexistence particularly in curbing insecurity across the Senatorial District that falls under Frontline areas.
The Senator according to Gwarjo will also continue to serve towards ensuring that the Dikko Radda led administration succeeded in making the state attractive for investors.
While urging his constituents and other people of the state to intensify prayers for peace and tranquility to reign in the state, the Senator also urged elected officials and other critical Stakeholders to continue to reciprocating the efforts of the state government towards moving the state forward.
On his part, the APC Zonal Chairman Alhaji Yahaya Asasanta applauded the action of the Senator for his continued support to his constituents at the right time.
In an interview with Newsmen, the APC Chairman Katsina LGA Alhaji Mustapha Musa described Senator Yar’adua as a silent achiever who always consider his constituents at any critical time.
Some Aides and Coordinators to the Senator have also spoken at the occasion.
