The Safiyanu Bena Human Capacity Building Initiative (SBHCBI) has empowered 55 persons from across the 11 wards in Danko/Wasagu local government area of Kebbi state.
The Initiative is a human development program of the former Head of Service and currently the Special Adviser to the Governor on Civil Service matters.

Each of the beneficiaries – including the aged, women, the physically challenged and young people received N20,000.
The empowerment program took place at Ribah, headquarters of the local government Monday.
The program which targets vulnerable individuals is intended to offer modest lifeline to those targeted in order to cushion the effect of the current hardships as a result of the economic challenges facing the nation.

The ceremony where the beneficiaries collected their grant was chaired by the Chairman of Danko/Wasagu local government council Hon Hussaini Aliyu and other local government officials.
He explained that the beneficiaries were carefully selected from the 11 wards of the local government based entirely on the level of their vulnerability and needs.
The program, according to the officials will continue to target the needy in the area so that, no matter how small, such amount could assist in helping them to either capitalize their small businesses or feed households for a few days.
Some of the beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the assistance and prayed for Allah’s bountiful reward for the initiator.
