Customs More Effective, Efficiency

All staff working under the Nigeria Custom Service (NCS) under the current Comptroller General of Custom CGC, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR are more secured and efficient.

The observation was announced by the Kebbi State Area Controller,  I E Ojoke, saying this was as a result of CG’s commitment and dedication to delivering on efficiency, security and prosperity for the nation.

He said this was as a result of CG’s commitment and dedication to delivering to efficiency, security and prosperity for the nation, for compliant corporate traders and honest personnel whichis in consonance with the President Bola Tinubu’s Renowned Hope Agenda.

Ojike made remark ‘Monday during the 2025 celebration for international Custom Day held at Custom’s Command Headquarters in Birnin Kebbi.

According to Ojike, other areas of development CG Adeniyi recorded include moving the Custom Service with innovations such as connecting all land borders with scanners for easy and accessible operations by the men of Custom attached to the borders.

This, he noted, has helped in identifying illicit substance and checkmate smugglers activities through illegal entry points.

Similarly,  Ojike added that officers  are generally happy and willing to cooporate with the management to ensure that her tasks are met, as they enjoy improved welfare package, while salaries are paid as at when due and promotions to deserving officers are done yearly.

 ” Recently series of meetings and engagement were held in Kebbi State with our Beninios counterparts with a view of reopening the Tsamiya/Segbana boader as a One-stop joint boarder post which was coordinated by the CG together with Governor Nasir Idris. ” Ojike said.

He however advised officers of Kebbi State Command to dedicate themselves by operating professionally in order to succeed.
