Alhaji Hussaini Aliyu has been appointed Acting Provost for the College of Health Sciences and Technology Jega.
Before his appointment, Aliyu was the Deputy Provost Administration of the College.
A letter conveying his appointment which was signed by the Permanent Secretary Ministry of Higher Education Alhaji Hussaini Abdullahi Zuru said the appointment takes immediate effect.
In the letter which was formally handed over to the appointee, today, the Ministry of Higher Education remarked that the appointment was based on merit.
It charged the appointee to exhibit higher sense of probity and professionalism in the discharged of his duties.
The new Acting Provost is expected to take charge immediately in order to reopen the college that has been on forced recess due to students’ disturbances late last year which led to the burning of properties.
