Katsina safer, more secured -;Police

Katsina State is becoming safer and more secured due to the intensified efforts by security operatives in the state.

He said the situation has greatly improved compared to what it was in the previous years
This was disclosed by the Police Public , Relations Officer of the  Katsina State Police Command, DSP.Abubakar Saddiq Aminu in a chat with Kunnen Gari online in his office in Katsina during the week.
DSP Saddiq attributed the success to the collaborative efforts between and among security agencies, support from Katsina State Government in the area of logistics and welfare of the security operatives especially for officers that lose lives and  or injured on the line of duty
He also commended the support and cooperation of religious and community leaders as well as various communities in the state to the security operatives , especially in the area of sharing intelligence.
DSP Sadiq also said the trust deficit in associate with police and the public has drastically been addressed as people freely supply information to the security agencies without fear that their identities would be revealed.
He therefore called on the general public for improved collaboration and cooperation between the several public to sustain the efforts and make Katsina State safer and more secured  prosperous  location in Nigeria.
Recall that Katsina State was one of the states that banditry and other criminal activities were so rampant and several lives were lost and properties worth billions of naira were lost.

The government of Katsina State has taken and is still taking  drastic steps  to ensure the criminal gangs are brought under control. This, the government has done through the establishment of Katsina State, Security Watch Corps, train them and provide them with all logistics to compliment the efforts of conventional security agencies. In the state.
Governor Dikko Umar Tadda has vowed that his government will not negotiate with any bandits or bandit groups as previous negotiations proved ineffective. The government has spent large sums of money in addressing the menace and its efforts are yielding positive results
 As of now several notorious bandit leaders have been neutralized and operatives are closing up on them and normalcy has returned to many communities as economic and social activities are gradually picking up..
