The state minister of defence, Mohammad Bello Matawallel received rousing welcome from his supporters numbering in thousands in Zamfara State.
Matawalle is the immediate past governor of Zamfara State..
The Minister chose to visit Zamfara State during this festive period by road instead of using Airplane to boost the Morales of soldiers stationed almost every 4 kilometers from Funtua Highway to Sokoto who are working day and night to provide Security for the Motorist for the job well done as the kidnapping incidences is gradually becoming a history due to the quick response of the Nigerian security forces.
As the Minister convoy arrived Yankara, a border between Zamfara and Katsina State, thousands of young men and women lined up along the roaf singing different praise songs in Hausa saying ” Muna godiya ga Minister da Shugaban kasa Bola Ahmed Tinubu da halaka Yan’ta’adda.
Meaning- “They are grateful to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Matawalle for eliminating notorious bandits kingpins who have given them sleepless nights.
The minister also made several stopovers before reaching the State Capital Gusau to sympathize with the victims of the previous security challenges.
Gusau the State Capital of Zamfara State was agog in celebrating Matawalle Coming home.
No single harassment from the Security forces was reported, but the governor of the State, Dauda Lawal on receiving the alert of the Minister’s Visit had since left the State.
