Gwagware Foundation supports women, orphans

Gwagware Foundation has launched another life-changing empowerment program targeting 1,000 women and children from the 11 local governments of Katsina Senatorial District.

The event was held  at the Convocation Arena of Isa Kaita College of Education, Dutsinma where essential items such as blankets and sweaters were distributed to support less-privileged women and children across the area.

The food assistance program that comprises bags of rice was donated  by the Honorable Minister of Arts, Culture, and Creative Economy, Hajia Hannatu Musa Musawa, the jackets/sweaters and blankets was donated by the  association of katsina contractors in collaboration with the Gwagware Foundation.

Salim Ahmad Gaiwa Public Relations Officer of yhe foundation, in statement said 100 women from each local government  also  receive N10,000 cash, 20 women were given a bag rice, while 60 orphans, children from tsangaya schools equally received sweaters and blankets, other 440 were allocated to correctional centers and orphanage homes within the zone.

The event drew a high-profile gathering, including traditional rulers from the zone, members of the Katsina State House of Assembly, members of the State Executive Council, local government chairmen, and other top government functionaries.

In his remarks, the Chairman of the Foundation, Alhaji Yusuf Aliyu Musawa, expressed profound gratitude to individuals and organizations for contributing in cash or kind to the foundation’s activities.

 He emphasized on the foundation’s unwavering support to helping in changing lives and uplift communities.

However, Yusuf Musawa reiterates, that  Gwagware Foundation remains committed to empowering the most vulnerable members of society, with this program serving as yet another testament to its mission of creating a more equitable and inclusive future for all.

During the program, Hon Sada Soli Jibiya member House of representative Representing jibiya/kaita, represented by Hon Surajo Ado announced the Donation of five million naira to Gwagware foundation to propel its humanitarian activities.
