Workers and pensioners under the Ministry for Local Government and Emirate Affairs in Katsina State will continue to receive their payments on the 25 th of every month unfailingly
The pledge was made by Alhaji Bishir Tanimu the supervising commissioner of the ministry while releasing October salaries for L G staff, primary schools teachers and pensioners.
Similarly, Pensioners that have not enjoyed their September pension have also been settled and settlement of gratuity is continuously being paid as mandated by the the state governor.
This is the second month since his assumption of duty as Supervising Commissioner of the Ministry, L G staff and pensioners receive their benefits on the 25th day of every month which is unprecedented.
In an interview with journalists, the commissioner said he claimed to sympathises with LG staff and pensioners for not being paid their monthly emoluments as at when due.
Alhaji Bishir Tanimu explained that the problem in the payment of salaries and pension had already been tracked and solved.
He said by the grace of Allah SWT the exercise will continue to stay every month as data and other information regarding the exercise will continue to be ready in preparation for the payment of staff salaries and pension.
He therefore enjoined LG Staff to always be faithful in reporting to their places of assignment.
