The Jigawa State Commissioner for Special Duties, Auwal Danladi Sankara, has strongly denied allegations of being involved in an illicit affair with a married woman.
Recall that the Kano State Hisbah Board arrested Sankara in an uncompleted building, where he was reportedly found with a married woman.
Dr. Abba Sufi, the Director General of the Hisbah Board, stated that the arrest occurred following a complaint lodged by the woman’s brother-in-law, who accused Sankara of improper conduct.
According to Sufi, Sankara faces multiple charges, including operating illicit drug centers under the names Picklock and 360.
But in response to the allegations Sankara issued a statement on Friday night categorically denying the allegations, which he described as “false, baseless, and malicious.”
He asserted that the accusations were a deliberate attempt to damage his reputation and character.
He emphasized that the allegations are completely unfounded, urging the public to disregard the reports as they are “concocted by certain political elements” intending to tarnish his image.
Sankara further affirmed his respect for the institution of marriage and stated, “As a married man, I have the utmost respect for the institution of marriage and would never engage in actions that violate its sanctity. I remain committed to upholding the values and principles that I stand for.”
In light of the situation, Sankara expressed his determination to institute legal action against those spreading the false claims.
“I am taking this matter seriously and will pursue legal action against those responsible for disseminating this false information and attempting to harm my person,” he added
