The fellowship award to Gov Nasir Idris, Kauran Gwandu of Kebbi State by the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN) has been described as a recognition of his commitment and dedication to public service, transparency and accountability as well as display of credible leadership.
The campaign team for Garba Muhammad presidential election of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, NUJ made the observation while congratulating Gov Nasir Idris on the honour bestowed on Kauran Gwandu
In his congratulatory message, Comrade Muhammad called on Governor Idris to continue the good he has embarked upon to the lives of people of Kebbi State so that it rub shoulders with its counterparts in Nigeria.
Comrade Garba Mohammed is a veteran journalist who served the NUJ in several different capacities always advocating for good governance through transparency , commitment , hardwork and equity in leadership at all levels
Recall that Garba has served the NUJ ss chapel chairman as well as State Council chairman in Kaduna . He was also media aid to Sen Bala Na’Allah as well asNational Officer of the NUJ and as chairman of many critical National committees.
He advised the Governor to remain focused and continue to thrive in handling the affairs of the state, adding that his efforts in the management of the state’s resources will increase and attract investors to the state that was once known for its international fishing festival.
The presidential hopeful also observed that the success recorded during Governors foreign trips is an indication of his commitment to putting the state in the global market by attracting internation investment opportunities to the numerous untapped opportunities across the state.
