Katsina farmers have been warned to avoid adulterating their farm produce when taing it to markets for sale.
The Special adviser to Katsina State Governor on Political Affairs who is also the Chairman, All Farmers Association Katsina State Chapter Rt. Hoh Yau Umar Gwajogwajo made this call during a meeting with Farmers Commodity Association organized by Himma Agricultural initiative at Saidu Barda old Government House in Katsina.

He further said Katsina State Government under the leadership of Malam Dikko Umaru Radda is ever ready to support and transform Katsina farmers as agrarian State which can only be achieved when commodity association lay good foundation in running the affairs of their association.
The special adviser gave highlight and advised the association lawyers that they can draft a law regarding their association and pass it to the state assembly for adoption after deliberation by the law makers.
In his speech the President of Himma Agricultural Initiative, Professor Sanusi Jari represented by the Secretary General of the association Mal Muhammad S Muhammad said in order to complement the effort of present administration in the increase of food production and employment opportunity to the teeming youth, the association has started with production of 4 hectare of improved Cow Pea which will be sold to farmers at subsidized rate.
The association and commodity associations in collaboration with Katsina State Government will soon came up with modalities on how to increase production of all year round.
According to the Chairman this can only be achieved with the support of His Excellency, Mal Dikko Umaru Radda PhD, CON.
In his vote of thanks, Sarkin Noma Mal Alto Daura thanks the organizers of the meeting and appeal to the State Government to support the association for the benefit of mfarmers.
